Press Release: Executive Director Position Open
Executive Director Position Opening
The Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF) is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Director. PEF is the primary support organization for the Piedmont Unified School District (PUSD). PEF’s mission is to promote academic excellence, champion innovation, and provide sustained financial support to PUSD. In order to achieve this mission, PEF raises funds, allocates grants, organizes events, facilitates communications, and supports volunteers and other school support organizations.
PEF has experienced extraordinary growth and undergone many exciting changes since its merger with APCP (Associated Parents Club of Piedmont) in 2015. Now managing all of the major fundraisers for the Piedmont schools including the Giving Campaign, Spring Fling, the Endowment, the Partners Program, and Scrip, PEF raises nearly $3 million each year, and facilitates a complex grant process, with a broad range of stakeholders, that supports approximately 8% of the District’s budget. The role of the Executive Director is essential in order for PEF to continue to grow all fundraising revenues which provide necessary financial support to the Piedmont schools.
A search committee has been appointed by the PEF Board of Directors to recommend an Executive Director candidate to the Board. The search committee is comprised of the following community members: Rick Smith, Amy Kaminer, Dana Serleth, Molly Ashford, Hilary Cooper and Christine Wente von Metzsch.
