Piedmont Education Foundation Announces New Leadership Roles on Executive Committee
Piedmont Education Foundation (PEF) is excited to introduce the board members that have stepped up to take on leadership positions on the PEF Executive Committee.
With extensive marketing expertise and a deep passion for education, PEF is excited to welcome Tonya Antonucci as the new Board Chairperson. Tonya is an entrepreneur and marketing professional, with leadership stints at Yahoo!, Women’s Professional Soccer, and the Oakland A’s. For the past year, Antonucci has been one of the Board’s Co-Vice Chairpersons and is excited to be stepping up to lead the Board. Says Antonucci, “PEF’s mission-based approach and engagement to support Piedmont schools and the broader community is absolutely crucial for sustaining quality public education for every child.”
Dana Lung and Chad Olcott will be Co – Vice Chairpersons. Lung is a dedicated leader who has held significant positions within parents clubs and PEF. Olcott who joined the PEF Board last year, has been a long active member of the Piedmont community and is owner of Mulberry’s Market. Both Lung and Olcott have a passion for education and are excited to be working together to support educational excellence.
After a two-year hiatus leading the parents clubs of Piedmont High School and Piedmont Middle School, Sara Davison DeVries returns to the PEF board as Secretary. Her organizational skills and deep understanding of the Piedmont community will enhance communication and collaboration within PEF. Nicki Gilbert, former PEF and Giving Campaign Chair, will remain on the executive committee as the Communications Lead. Gilbert’s exceptional writing skills and her knowledge of PEF and PUSD continue to make her a valuable asset to the organization. And Bridget Schreiber, who served as Assistant Treasurer and Audit Committee Chair this year, assumes the role of Treasurer. With her financial acumen and dedication, she will ensure the responsible management of PEF’s funds and uphold transparency in fiscal matters.
Amelie Kappes, who served as the Chairperson for the 2022-2023 year, will continue to contribute her valuable insights and guidance as the Immediate Past Chair on the Executive Committee.
“We are thrilled to welcome these accomplished individuals to PEF’s Executive Committee and value their leadership contributions to our Board,” said Heather Frank, Executive Director of PEF. “Their diverse backgrounds and expertise will strengthen our commitment to Piedmont schools.”
The newly appointed Executive Committee members will collaborate with PEF’s existing board members, volunteers, and community stakeholders to further PEF’s mission of providing enhanced educational opportunities and resources for all students in Piedmont schools.
