Firecracker Math offers group classes and private instruction on extra-curricular math topics to kids Grades K-11. We spark children’s interest in math, deepen their knowledge and further develop their aptitude and talent in math.

Our curriculum focuses on exploration and understanding of mathematical concepts, and on teaching kids the skills of problem-solving and logical reasoning. We foster a creative learning environment by employing well-trained, enthusiastic teachers with advanced degrees in math or science. Small group size ensures close teacher-to students’ interaction and attention to each child’s needs and pace of learning.

Upper Division Math, In-person
Age 12–15, Grade 6–9

Students are introduced to topics from number theory, geometry, combinatorics, probability, and more. We focus on an in-depth understanding of math concepts and mathematical proof. Kids learn problem-solving techniques and logical reasoning skills. Theoretical instructions are combined with practical exercises that employ chess, games, and logical puzzles to demonstrate mathematical concepts. Kids are encouraged to explore, discuss ideas, and work together as a team. In our math classes, we are going to show to your child that math can be incredibly creative, exciting, and fun. We offer small class sizes (no more than 12), experienced and enthusiastic teachers, and an individual approach according to each student’s needs.
