TRUTH & REMEMBRANCE

featuring Israeli musician Orion Stone

Piedmont Center for the Arts (801 Magnolia Ave)
Wednesday, May 15th, open 7-9.30 pm

The Jewish Community of Piedmont invites you to remember and bear witness to all those who have lost their lives in the horrors of October 7th and its aftermath, as well as the 132 hostages still being held in Gaza.

Around the world, and here in the Bay Area, the atrocities of that fateful day seem to have been forgotten. Men, women and children of all ages, religions and nationalities – from tiny babies to elderly Holocaust survivors – were brutalized, murdered, raped and kidnapped. We cannot allow the world to forget what happened on October 7 and how this heartbreaking war was ignited. And we cannot forget the 132 hostages still being held captive by Hamas. We also remember all of the innocent lives lost in this conflict.

The installation will feature:
Video & Sound Presentation: Local Testimony – War Diary Video by the Eretz Israel Museum
Photography Exhibition: Yad Achot (Sisterhood) by the Jewish Agency of Israel
Musical interludes by Orion Stone, Israeli musician whose family members were murdered and kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th
Candlelit memorial

We are grateful to our generous sponsors: The Jewish Community Federation, Temple Beth Abraham, Piedmont Center for the Arts, Piedmont Education Foundation.
